Seceda (2500m) – Pieralongia (2290m) – Odles (2100m)

At 2,500 meters above sea level, Seceda is one of the most spectacular panoramic viewpoints in Val Gardena. As soon as you arrive at the mountain station, breathtaking landscapes and the natural skyline of the Dolomites unfold before your eyes. The impressive peaks of the Sassolungo, the Sella Group, and especially the majestic Odle mountains create a unique alpine scenery and convey an unforgettable feeling of freedom.

We recommend following the highest trail first in order to reach the famous Seceda Ridgeline viewpoint. Along the way, colorful alpine flowers and mountain meadows stretch across the landscape like a natural carpet.

After passing the panoramic platform, you will arrive at a fork in the trail. Follow the signs towards Pieralongia. After approximately 45 minutes of walking, you will reach the Pieralongia Hut, located at the foot of the characteristic “stone teeth” – two striking rock formations rising dramatically towards the sky.

From there, the trail continues past the World Heritage Terrace at 2,200 meters above sea level, offering a unique view of the impressive Dolomite Mountain landscape. After taking in the panorama and capturing the most beautiful photos at your leisure, you continue your hike towards the Odles Hut. This family-run mountain hut invites you to stop for a relaxed lunch break, serving traditional homemade dishes prepared mainly with the farm’s own products and carefully selected local ingredients. The stunning panoramic views, petting zoo, and children’s playground make this hut a very special destination for families and hikers alike.

The hike then continues gently downhill to the valley station of the Fermeda Chairlift. With the Seceda premium ticket, you can enjoy the chairlift ride uphill while admiring a magnificent bird’s-eye view of the Seceda ridgeline.

Once at the top, you can take in the unforgettable impressions of the Dolomites before walking the final 10 minutes downhill back to the Seceda cable car station. A hike filled with spectacular views, alpine nature, and an incomparable sense of freedom.

Following the marked trail, you will arrive at a fork in the path: one trail continues uphill, while the other gently descends past the Trojer Hut. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing aperitif while admiring the stunning views of the Dolomites and soaking in the unique atmosphere of the Seceda alpine pastures.

After a short break, the hike continues past the small mountain lake “Lech da Iman” to the Fermeda Hut – another little piece of paradise set in the heart of the mountain landscape. Warm hospitality and traditional South Tyrolean specialties invite you to enjoy a pleasant lunch break surrounded by nature.

From the Fermeda Hut, it is only a 15-minute walk to the valley station of the Fermeda Chairlift. With the Seceda premium ticket, you can enjoy the uphill chairlift ride while taking in spectacular bird’s-eye views of the Odle mountain range. Once at the top, take a final moment to admire the beauty of the Dolomites before walking the last 10 minutes back to the Seceda cable car station.
